COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments

Booster Appointments

Pfizer Biontech and Moderna COVID-19 booster shots appointments are available to any individual who has completed a COVID-19 series and appropriate waiting time.

Individuals may receive the vaccine booster if:

  • They have completed a COVID-19 vaccine series, i.e. two doses of Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech; or one dose of the Janssen J&J vaccine.
  • There has been at least 6 months after the final Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech dose; or at least two months after the Janssen J&J single dose.

 

Pediatric and Adult Appointments

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is a two-dose vaccine series and the second dose is required 21 days after the initial dose. DoD beneficiaries ages 5-17 with a legal guardian present; and ages 18 and older may choose to receive a Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine at the Peterson SFB Main Clinic by appointment only. No walk-ins are accepted at this time.

COVID-19 Testing Locations

Peterson SFB 

  • Effective, Jan. 10, Peterson SFB Covid-19 testing location has moved to the Golf Course
  • Make an appointment by calling the MHS Genesis Access to Care Line at (719) 524-2273
     

Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson

  • Consolidated Screening Testing and Vaccination Center (CSTVC)
    - Open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Soldier Family Care Center (SFCC) on the east side of the hospital.
  • Emergency Department
    - Open 24/7

     

Participating off-base testing facilities

  • Maintain a copy of your test results for your unit and medical records.

COVID-19 Test Results

On Base: If your received a COVID-19 test on a military installation, the please visit the MHS Genesis Patient Portal to view your test results. You can create a DS Logon account or use your CAC for login and view your results. Results will be available on the portal within 24-48 hours.

Off Base: If your received a COVID-19 test at an off-base testing facility, please be sure to maintain a copy of your results for your unit and medical records.

COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) is a disease caused by a virus named SARS-CoV-2 and was discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. COVID-19 most often causes respiratory symptoms that can feel much like a cold, a flu, or pneumonia. COVID-19 may attack more than your lungs and respiratory system.

Quarantine vs. Isolation

  • Quarantine when you might have been exposed to the virus and may or may not have been infected.
  • ​Isolate when you are sick or when you have been infected with the virus, even if you don’t have symptoms.
