Many members of Team Pete have requested volunteer and donation information to help members of the community affected by the Waldo Canyon fires.

"The out-pouring of selflessness from our community, both inside the gate and in the Colorado Springs area, is overwhelming," said Col. Chris Crawford, the 21st Space Wing commander. "At this point, volunteerism throughout Team Pete is immeasurable; a true testament to the benevolent nature of our team and our town."

For those who would like to know more about donating and volunteering to the firefighting effort, www.springsgov.com offers a comprehensive list of agencies and organizations in need and how to help them.

Additionally, members of Team Pete who are interested in hosting displaced community members in their homes can call the 21st Space Wing Emergency Operations Center at 556-4462.
