Throughout her career as an officer, a mother and part of a dual-military marriage, she said that she’d been asked how she responded to all the responsibilities on her plate — a question that she noted was never posed to her husband, despite him handling the same responsibilities — before sharing personal challenges and triumphs in the name of hope, healing and resilience.
